Symphony X bassist Mike LePond reflects on the passing of Chris Squire, bassist of Yes, saying “Chris Squire wasn’t a big influence on me, but he was easily one of the best bassists I have ever heard. When I first heard “Roundabout”, I was blown away by his style. Even their poppier songs, like “Owner of a Lonely Heart”, had amazing bass lines. He was a true giant of the bass world.”
